In 1984, Department of Nursing at Connors State College, 20 students were admitted to the associate degree program in Warner, OK. They have had a lot of success since then, and they have expanded the program to include the Muskogee campus.
The Nursing Program was consolidated into a single Muskogee campus in 2009. The program relocated to Connors West Campus in the Nursing and Allied Health building in late 2009. (NAH). They currently accept 48 students in August and January.
Connors offers a Career Ladder program. Students who meet the admission criteria for Career Ladder can begin the program with a transition course.

- Western Oklahoma State College
Western Oklahoma State College’s Nursing Program was established in 1981 and has an excellent success rate in preparing qualified nurses.
The WOSC nursing program is available at three campus locations: Altus, Lawton, and Elk City. There are several program tracks available in the Western ADN program.
There are face-to-face classes for both general and advanced standing entry students, as well as online classes for advanced standing students with a face-to-face clinical component. Face-to-face students can take daytime classes at all three campuses and evening classes at the Lawton campus.
Advanced Standing students i.e., licensed practical/vocational nurses who are currently working as an LPN/LVN and have an unencumbered license, can apply and enter the program in Nursing I, NURS 1129 (Maternity/Pediatric semester), and/or take the HESI mobility exam in addition to the pre-nursing examination HESI A2, and if successful, enter Nursing III, NURS 2219, sophomore year.
The department of nursing faculty hopes to ensure that students selected for the program are capable of successfully completing the nursing program and passing the national examination by establishing admission criteria and procedures.
Since 1987, the nursing program has been accredited. Students who complete the program are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam (National Council Licensure Examination). Five semesters are required to complete the program requirements.
